I love it here! Management makes it their business to keep everything running smoothly!
Hallways are clean, elevators, trash rooms! Apartments are spacious! I couldn’t ask for a better place to live! George who is the owner of the building is also a great guy too! Which is a plus! Clark is great place to live IMO and just overall my experience after 4 years of living here has honestly been great!

Inside the building, cigarette and marijuana smoke are sometimes noticeable in the hallways. Because the bathroom ventilation ducts appear to be shared between units, these strong odors can travel between units and seep directly into living spaces.

Recycling bins in the parking garage frequently overflow between scheduled pickups, while garbage is regularly left scattered throughout both indoor common areas, including the mailroom lobby and elevators, as well as outdoor common areas.

Living… conditions deteriorated significantly after 7 Brew Coffee Shop opened next door in June 2026. Prospective renters considering units along or near Westfield Avenue that face the shop should be prepared for frequent and persistent disruptions. The business plays amplified music through both indoor and outdoor speakers throughout the day, and the sound remains clearly audible even with all windows tightly closed. Meanwhile, ongoing drive-through traffic contributes additional noise from idling engines, vehicle activity, exhaust sounds, and loud conversations directly below residential windows.

At night, a bright blue LED border along the coffee shop's roofline shines through standard roll-down window curtains, casting a harsh blue glow throughout entire apartments. Late-night maintenance activities add another source of disruption. Workers periodically operate high-pressure power washers after business hours, producing heavy motor vibrations and loud machinery noise that can easily disturb residents' sleep in the middle of the night. Early-morning truck deliveries are another recurring disturbance, with loud backup beeping and unloading operations that can also wake residents before sunrise. (Keep in mind that the coffee shop operates from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and until 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, so some of these issues may not be apparent during a daytime tour.)

What is perhaps most frustrating is the apparent lack of accountability. The 7 Brew management team appears reluctant to acknowledge these ongoing nuisances or implement meaningful measures to mitigate their impact on nearby residents. Despite multiple formal complaints submitted to Clark Township, the Clark Police Department, and building management, there has been no effective enforcement of applicable local noise regulations and no meaningful action to address these recurring disturbances. I’ve had a great experience living at Brookside Manor Clark. The building is always kept very clean and well maintained. Management is attentive, professional, and responds to maintenance requests immediately while following regulations and keeping residents informed.

Betty in the office is especially wonderful — she responds quickly, is always friendly, professional, and very helpful. It truly makes a difference when staff care about the residents.

My wife and I have lived in the Brookside Manor since they completed construction. We love it here. Our apartment is spacious and gets a tremendous amount of natural light. The building is well maintained and you can tell the owner George takes pride in his properties. Our children love playing on the well manicured lawn where they can run around in a safe environment.
