Garbage

Lived in the end unit townhouse for a year and it was the worst experience of my life. Electric bill was $300-$750 depending on the cold because there was no insulation and the hvac system is not outputting sufficient amount of heat for the size of the unit. These issues started as soon as I signed the lease and moved in. They had their hvac guys come out 4x in 3 months, nothing was done, which became clear when it became cold again. Only reason I know what the real issue was is because I... brought out another hvac company to look into it. This was AFTER I brought this issue up AGAIN to the landlord company and was told that the cold temps in the unit was somehow my fault. Once I sent videos of the air blowing in from the closed windows and doors, I didn’t get any response for an entire month. During the summer, the air conditioning wasn’t working. Was blowing out hot air and the apartment got to 87 degrees. I was told by the super, Max, that since it was Saturday, I’d have to wait until Monday before he could have someone come out to look at the hvac system. After I lost my patience and sent a message to the property manager, the air conditioning issue was resolved. After the last hurricane, the unit flooded on the first floor and the water was coming in through the ceiling on the second floor. When I showed the super that the walls had water damage, he shrugged it off and no one cared if mold was growing or what was going on inside of there. Parking lot is a disaster because of the brownstone pancake factory next door. Good luck with that. Paying to move again a year later was the best way to spend my money. At least I’m out of that hell but I DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you truly enjoy being cold and mistreated throughout the duration of your lease.
