Even if you have to leave the country, they wont even consider the option to payback the deposit. They will just grab it. Be aware.
Building cleanness is an issue, parcels gets stolen most of the time, no security cameras on the main door.

The apartments are spacious and are in a very commutable part of Jersey City. Another convenience is assigned parking spaces (additional fee). Parking is hard to come by in Jersey City. Considering the rising cost of living in Jersey City, the apartments are reasonably priced.

As for the management, nothing is ever fixed in a reasonable amount of time. When they finally get around to sending repairman out, they do a very poor job. I've lived in the building for over 5 years and have had a... leak in different parts of my ceiling every winter. You can literally see the layers of plaster.

The bathrooms and kitchens need to be completely renovated as they are outdated and in poor condition. When I moved in, I re-tiled the floor, painted the cabinets, and replaced the hardware in the kitchen.

The building does have a laundry room but there are only 3 washers and 3 dryers to service a building of 33 apartments. You have better chances at hitting the lotto than you do getting a washer on a Sunday.

Overall, I would not recommend living in this building or any other building managed by Jasco Management. Read More
