Washers and dryers are barely working now. You’re better off going to the laundromat down the streets.

Re: bldg. 170... despite being able to hear my neighbor stomp upstairs...it's a relatively clean and quiet building...daily the halls, lobby and laundryroom are cleaned...Sylvan is a comfortable neighborhood 1 block from Belleville, 3 blocks from Bloomfield, 5 blocks from Montclair & 5 blocks from Kearny. This location is within walking distance of Branch Brook Park, public transportation, shopping, and places of worship etc...as far as safety you use the same common sense regarding as anywhere... else...its been all good so far... The apartment is beautiful and I am comfortable with the location . However, please do not be fooled. The walls are super thin, our upstairs neighbors are very inconsiderate and blast music and or stomp around all day. The “super” does absolutely nothing. We’ve called him about minor things in the apartment that need repair since everything is so cheap and he hasn’t done anything he says he’ll do. The buildings started off clean but now it seems like they’re just letting anyone live here, I’ve... seen trash outside on the sidewalk, in the building etc.. not worth the price , especially when the rent goes up every year !
