    RUN from this property don't WALK !!

    I do not recommend living at this apartment complex in Newark, New Jersey. The area has a high crime rate, and there are persistent concerns about drug activity within the complex. Management and staff are often rude and unprofessional when tenants raise concerns.

    The building conditions are also unacceptable. There is a serious mouse infestation, and maintenance issues do not appear to be addressed properly. Another major concern is that tenants are not allowed to vent air conditioners through    … the designated system and are instead required to install units in their windows.

    In a high-crime area, requiring tenants to place air conditioners in windows creates serious safety risks. Window units can make apartments more vulnerable to break-ins because windows may not lock securely or can be forced open from outside. This is especially concerning for elderly tenants, families with children, and residents on lower floors. It also increases the risk of theft, personal harm, and property damage.

    Another concern is that management refuses to provide rent receipts or proof of payment, making it difficult for tenants to maintain accurate records and protect themselves in the event of a payment dispute. In addition, my apartment was broken into.

    Music from Court Street, the next block over, plays at all hours of the day and night, sometimes from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

    Overall, the property is poorly managed, the environment feels unsafe, and tenant concerns are not handled with professionalism or respect.
