Feel at home in this stylish apartment in historic downtown St. John's. Located on the 2nd floor (Suite 2) of a 3-level building, the apartment requires climbing one flight of stairs.
This beautifully appointed apartment features a modern interior. The living room has a leather sofa, two armchairs, several accent tables, a 50-inch 4k TV, and a very comfortable queen Murphy bed. There is a Tivoli audio model one AM/FM radio with Bluetooth for your music. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, including a convection oven and a Bosch dishwasher, new cookware, cutlery, dishes, and glassware. An espresso machine, a French press coffee maker, and a drip coffee maker are provided. Olive oil, salt and pepper, ground coffee, cream and milk and sugar, sparkling water, and a welcome bottle of wine are provided for your enjoyment. The bathroom has a washer and dryer, a rainwater shower head, luxurious towels, a large mirror with a built-in light and de-fogger, a 10x lit make-up mirror, two bathrobes, a basket of essentials, and locally produced TVAL bath and hair products. The bedroom has a new California king bed, a new mattress, luxurious linens, a 65-inch 4k TV, a mid-century inspired credenza, and a Wassily chair. There is plenty of storage in the closet, credenza, and side tables, and there is a barn door for privacy.
AC and free street parking are available right out front. Parking is with one Parking Pass. Snow removal is the responsibility of the guest if it is snowing during their stay.
Iconic Gower St is home to colorful "jellybean" houses and is steps to the nightlife of George St and the shops and restaurants downtown. It is just a few minutes' walk to the Battery and Signal Hill. Gower Street has a walkable score of 98 and is mere steps to all of the history, fine dining, shopping, and nightlife that St. John's is known for. Stroll through the colorful Battery at the entrance to St. John's harbor or hike Signal Hill, a national historic site with stunning coastal and city views. Cabot Tower can be seen from the living room and from the patio. Several grocery/convenience stores, including Food for Thought and Halliday’s Meats, are just a few doors down on Gower Street. Moo Moos Ice Cream and Coffee Matters are also a short walking distance on King’s Road.
Please do not set the fan to 'auto' on the heat pump in the living room. Instead, set the fan at either 2 bars, or 3 bars. Please do not turn the unit on or off. Instead, lower the temperature if you are hot (and increase the fan to 3 bars), and increase the temperature if you are cold (and lower the fan to 2 bars). Gently pull down the Murphy bed, make sure the black bar at the foot of the bed is lowered to the floor before getting on the bed, and raise it over the mattress when putting the bed up. Please use the small bin under the sink, and make sure to snap it shut. When your bag is full, remove it, put it in a clear plastic bag, and leave it outside your door. Please enjoy the deck but do not go down the fire escape stairs to the ground (unless there is a fire).
