Overpriced for how trashy they are

These are some of the issues we experienced living just 10 months at Brockport Crossings:

    - The neighbors set the dumpster on fire from a firework mishap 4th of July.
    - Frequent litter in the parking lot, cans, plastic, empty alcohol bottles.
    - Car was hit in the parking lot, the apartment complex does not have cameras and the police officer I spoke to said they’ve suggested to the office they get security cameras installed multiple times and refuse to.
    - Our maintenance requests were often
neglected, seems like they only had 1 maintenance guy, and he got arrested, so our maintenance issues were further left unaddressed.
    - During the time he was arrested, maintenance's temporary replacement left a mess of our living room when they attempted to fix our AC, leaving a mess of dirty water all over the floor and on our nearby electronics.
    - Had several birds get stuck in our AC, they said they wouldn’t be able to remove them so bang on it until they free themself.
    - Frequent plumbing issues; leaks in the bathtub faucet and kitchen sink.
    - Severe creaky floorboards.

All this is frustrating on its own so it comes across as very insulting that they wanted to increase our rent $70 a month should we renew our lease. I tried negotiating with the property manager, Julie, and she said it was out of her control, she would need to contact corporate, but that I couldn’t contact them myself. I waited for a response from her for 4 weeks with no word, I followed up to discover from one of her assistants she went on a leave of absence without notifying me, and without notifying corporate of the situation like she said she would. I guess trying to maintain tenants wasn’t enough for her to take more seriously.

    Review from Apartments.com

Property Manager at Brockport Crossings Apartments and Townhomes responded to this review

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your time at Brockport Crossings did not meet the standards we strive to provide.

We take the concerns you’ve raised regarding maintenance, plumbing, your A/C
experience, property conditions, and communication with management very seriously. We understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with repeated issues, particularly when you felt that your concerns were not addressed in a timely or satisfactory manner.

We also understand your frustration regarding the communication surrounding your renewal and rent increase. We regret that you did not receive the follow-up you were expecting and that there was a lack of communication during that process.

While we cannot discuss specific personnel matters or individual circumstances publicly, your feedback is important and will be shared with the appropriate members of our management team. We are continually working to improve our maintenance response, communication, and overall resident experience.

We’re sorry that we did not provide the experience you deserved, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
