Diamond in the Rough
Patio Gardens is a great apartment complex in the heart of Prospect Lefferts Garden. (Formal know as Flatbush)It's a three block walk from the very reliable Q and B trains. Also a shuttle that connects to the C, 2,3,4,5 trains. The neighborhood is a the definition of Brooklyn diversity. A happy mix Middle class and working class blacks, whites, Asians and Hispanics all coexist in this oasis. 24 security and a gatehouse for packages is a GREAT perk. The rent is still very reasonable. The building... is newly renovated so the lobby is immaculate and apartments are fresh. Washer and dryer on every floor along with two trash shoots. The view of the park is breathtaking. Four stars because the maintenance team is slow to follow up and the elevators are frequently out of service in the hot summer. All that being said I love it here.
