The worst apartment experience we’ve ever had.

We have been dealing with our downstairs neighbors smoking all year. We’ve documented every complaint and repeatedly reported the issue to the leasing office. Each time we’re told that they will be “taking action,” yet nothing changes because the problem continues.

This is advertised as a smoke-free apartment community, but our apartment regularly reeks of cigarette smoke. Due to the poor construction and lack of proper insulation between units,... every time our neighbors smoke, the smell fills our apartment. There have been multiple occasions where we’ve had to leave our home for hours just to avoid breathing in the smoke while hoping they’re finished by the time we return.

We specifically chose this complex because it was marketed as smoke-free, so it’s incredibly disappointing that we’ve been unable to enjoy or even comfortably relax in the apartment since we moved in. It’s frustrating to pay premium rent for a home that we can’t fully use because of an issue management has failed to resolve.

Unfortunately, the smoking problem isn’t the only downside. The appliances are cheap and frequently have issues, the walls are paper-thin, and the water often has a strong sulfur smell. Don’t let the nice-looking gym and resident lounge fool you, the amenities don’t make up for the poor living conditions and lack of effective management.

If you don’t mind constant cigarette smoke, flimsy appliances, paper-thin walls, and hearing everything your neighbors do, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Read More

I love it here it's like a resort and the staff is extremely friendly and open to suggestions and constantly striving to make it a better place to live!
All the bad reviews for this place I disagree strongly.

DON'T LET THE NICE VIEW FOOL YOU.

We’ve paid over $30,000 in rent in just one year and what do we get? Unjustified infractions and a management team that seems more interested in flexing authority than actually managing.

At one point, they removed all access to trash rooms for the entire complex. The “solution”? Residents had to walk across two full parking lots just to throw out their garbage. After backlash, they finally reinstated the trash rooms but made it very clear that access could be... revoked again at any time. That’s not how you treat paying tenants.

Utilities are another horror story, $500+ national grid bills are somehow common here, and no one has answers, not even NG. Combine that with the management's “oh well” attitude toward complaints, and it’s obvious they see residents as income, not people.
If you’re considering this place, just know you’ll be paying premium prices to be treated like an inconvenience. Look elsewhere, your sanity and your wallet will thank you. Read More

Recently, I have met many of my neighbors for the first time and no one is happy. What caused the sudden social outburst? It could be that instead of taking your trash to the trash room in your building, you now have to haul it across the property to one of the few dumpsters. This makes taking out the trash at least a ten minute chore, but it can be much longer if you start to rant with a neighbor about how unreasonable the new trash policy is. However, it is nice that at the dumpster, residents... from various buildings can meet each other and swap stories of the horrors happening. I have heard many tales of air conditioners breaking, apartments flooding, cricket infestations, mold, etc.
 
The property was built in 23, so residents moved into a brand new "luxury" apartment. Unfortunately, we  realized that the luxury component wears off after a few weeks when the place starts to fall apart. TreyJay Loso and Sutton have cut so many corners that these new apartments are just a big headache that they cannot keep up with the repairs and complaints. Hence maintenance is no longer taking the trash out.
You cannot walk from your car to the building at night without being eaten alive. The bugs are so small that they get through the screens and locked windows, so be prepared to be cleaning a lot. They even make their way through the microwave vent from the outside so I hope you like your leftovers with a side of insect. Nothing is done to alleviate the situation. When it rains, the lots flood and there is stagnate water for days, attracting more bugs. The bugs that get into the entry ways of the buildings are attracted to the light fixtures where they ultimately die. Their remains will stay there for months because no one has cleaned since the original property manager left in April. yes, her replacement is already gone too.
 
Inside the units, the door handles to fall off, the floor boards to separate, and the air circulation is poor. Maintenance told me that door stoppers weren't in the budget, so be careful when opening closet, bedroom, & bathroom doors. They must have purchased discount batteries for the smoke detectors because all of them now chirp. Loso residents must be deep sleepers to overcome their neighbors' romantic lives, the perpetual light from the bathroom, and the dryer buzzers that can wake the dead. I have lived the Loso apartments for over a year now. The leasing staff is absolutely wonderful to work with and are very accommodating. The maintenance staff goes above and beyond to help residents with anything that is needed. The hallways in the building are kept spotless as well as the grounds. The units are very modern, bright and spacious. It is very convenient to have our own washer and dryer right in our apartment and not have to share with other residents. The community room is... absolutely gorgeous and the management team often has special get-togethers for residents, for example coffee and pastries, pizza, etc. The deck on the back of the clubhouse is beautiful. It has brand new furniture with fire pits that overlook the marina and lake. There are brand new gas grills that are available for use. They also have kayak racks that can be used by residents to store their kayaks right at the waterfront, which makes it very convenient to launch and spend some time out on the lake. The fitness facility is gorgeous and has all brand new equipment.
