Mayfair Gardens

I have lived at Mayfair Gardens for 5 years and have enjoyed it very much. The grounds are kept clean, the staff is very friendly/helpful, and it has all of the amenities. Location is great with groceries, restaurants, and everything you could want within a mile or so. Pathways were always cleared quickly when it snowed and the parking lots were plowed as well. If you want to live in a place where no residents care about each other’s vehicles, this is the place. The number of dings on the sides of my car that regularly occur is horrendous. Management also allows vehicles with no license plates to take up parking spots in the lot for months on end. With that said, the apartments are in good condition and reasonably sized.

The leasing agent for this property completely turned me off from renting here. Extremely rude and won't answer questions without an attitude.

The management company is miserable to work with. Looking at google reviews for the company shows that I am not alone in this. It has been 3 months since I left the apartment, and I have yet to receive my security deposit. I did the final walk-through with the superintendent where they found nothing wrong with the apartment. I have written them letters, called, and emailed them numerous times, most of the time I don't even get a response. The only time they contacted me was to get my new address… (even though I already gave it to the super during the walk-through) and they assured me that they would be sending out the check that day. That was a month ago, still no check, still no update.

The apartment itself isn't that bad, though the price is very high for the complete lack of amenities. I honestly probably would have given it 3 stars if it wasn't for the hassle trying to get the security deposit.

Also, just an FYI, as of April of 2020 the only way they accepted rent payments was to mail them a physical check... Read More
