Cars towed, rude management, lies

Our incentive to sign to Ivy Ridge was for dogs, easy parking, and newly built units - boy has that backfired.

1. Parking: Upon touring we were told the number of assigned parking spots didn't matter, bring as many cars as you need. OOPS! The lot was overflowing for months, blocking the only entrance and trash (which is gross - always overflowing). The solution? TOW RESIDENTS! Now there is a satellite lot located a MILE AWAY. Parking spots have been assigned and numbered, meaning you can't...
ever have guests come visit. Almost daily the tow truck comes by to steal cars from residents and guests. Oh and the snow? Good luck getting out of the lot.

2. Maintenance: the fact that we have a good relationship w maintenance team should be a big red flag. We went weeks without HVAC when it went out the second/third time. It was 55 degrees inside for 5+ days until they brought space heaters. Had to stay elsewhere for a couple of those nights - no service recovery from mgmt. The end units have very poor insulation and get very cold, resulting in highest energy bills I've ever seen.

3. Dogs: Upon signing we were told of plans to install a dog wash soon - LIES! Don't fall for this one. Questioning further revealed they'll never be able to - too expensive to insulate pipes. The dog park is a nice effort but mostly for tiny dogs.

4. Management Company: Found my neighbor outside sobbing bc of a hostile conversation from CSP mgmt. This along with stories of residents being cursed out of the office make Ivy Ridge an unpleasant place to live.

Pros: Dog friendly community, mostly vet students, borders Cornell Arboretum for nice hikes. Rural location so never traffic.

Deceitful management

When first preparing to sign a lease to live at Ivy Ridge, the management ensured us that all tenants would be able to park in their lot without issue. Clearly, they didn't think this through, as they did not have enough parking spots for the number of cars they promised parking to. Their solution to this issue was to blame the several tenants to whom they promised this parking and introduce new parking permits, threatening towing to those without one. Our apartment of several people who all... need our cars during the day was then left scrambling to find a solution for the extra cars we have that we could no longer park where we live. Management has been unclear about how, when, or even if this issue will be resolved. This, on top of mediocre to unresponsive maintenance of the poorly-designed appliances, has led to a stressful last several months of living here.
