Not Worth the Premium Rent
Overall, this building has a great location and offers spacious apartments, but it is ultimately not worth the high rent due to persistent building issues, poor management, and questionable business practices.
The building has a high tenant turnover, which is not surprising given the ongoing maintenance problems and cost-cutting policies. Although the building is relatively new, it has experienced multiple flooding incidents that have damaged apartments and tenants' personal property. The fire... alarm has gone off during early morning hours on multiple occasions, requiring residents to evacuate and wait outside. The elevator frequently breaks down for extended periods, and the parking garage—appearing to have not been designed for residential use—also experiences recurring problems.
During the winter, the driveway is not consistently cleared of snow and ice, creating significant safety hazards. The building also struggles to maintain comfortable and safe indoor heat and humidity levels during colder months.
In addition to already high rent, tenants are charged separate building utility fees beyond their individual apartment utilities, along with other miscellaneous fees that can add hundreds of dollars to monthly housing costs.
My biggest concern was the move-out process. In my experience, my security deposit was withheld despite my belief that it should have been returned. I found the process unfair and inconsistent with my understanding of tenant rights.
