Poor maintenance, unresponsive management, unsafe conditions

Looks decent on surface initially, horrible maintenance, rental company gaslights you instead of fixing things properly.
Sadly, I had a gas leak in my utility closet , to be told by maintenance that nothing was wrong. Lived that way for a significant period of time before the fire dept checked it at my request. They discovered the gas leak and called maintenance to fix it that night. Maintenance still didn't come for another 24 hours plus. Daughter had her first seizure in her life here which I… feel is due to that.
Laundry facility floods.
Building 21 is like a swamp. Fell on ice on grass and tore 2 MCL's. Basement floods, which they neglected to tell us. They allowed standing water to sit underneath our place for at least 3 week. Kids fell ill. I wheeze.
My one neighbor can't use her bathtub. Another has a pilot light the will not stay lit on her stove that they did not fix it. A third had a leak in her roof that they took months and pestering to fix.
The rent is cheap because the quality is horrible. DO yourself a favor and find something else!
Apts are spacious, but you hear your neighbors' conversations.

They'll take your deposit

Once you give them your deposit, it's theirs. They don't seem to even care to lie convincingly. They told me the apartment was dirty and it would cost them some four hundred dollars to clean it. I sent them the pictures I took when I moved out and they thought I had taken them before I moved in despite the time stamps. They won't clean the apartment before you move in unless the previous tenant pays for it. Suzan couldn't even be bothered to get her lazy ___ out of her chair and look at the… apartment herself. All she could do was answer the phone with "Sorry, we're taking your money, shove it."

Clean, spacious and affordable

Latham village apts is one of the cleanest complex in the capital region. the apartments are clean and well maintained. the rooms are spacious and parking is always available. The support and maintenance is turnaround is very quick. it's located next to a park and close to the major roads: route 9, route 2 and the highways.
