This Apartment Complex is a mixed bag
I've been in both 2 bedroom and single bedroom apartments. The apartments themselves are very basic, with the 2 bedroom being only slightly larger feeling than the 1. The living room and bedrooms are carpeted no matter what. As for the kitchen itself it is small no matter what, the aisle will feel cramped. The bathrooms are terrible. They are old, outdated, and lack any modern features. If you are on a lower level you don't get a window and have to use a old, ineffective vent fan and the... bathroom will accumulate moisture and mold, you are not allowed to install or use bidets. And if you are lucky you will get exactly 1 outlet that may be electrically connected to the light switch. There is a decent amount of closest space.
Any unit that isn't in the basement level gets a balcony which can be nice for relaxing. The pool is also a nice touch in the summer time but has become more unappealing as they have short hours open, no adult only times (so you're constantly sharing space with children), and very limited guest policies. There is laundry on site but it is not in unit, there are 2 laundry rooms with only 3 cleaning and drying machines a piece. So it is constantly a chore finding times for empty machines. and if a machine breaks, eats your money, or other issues you are pretty much out of luck.
The parking is pretty good I will say you have plenty of space. The distance from campus and main street is walkable. There are bike racks available but I would not trust it, my bike was stolen and they offered no help via surveillance camera or any security. They do not care. The apartment complex itself is mostly quiet, with the occasional social events in the lawn area. Living on the higher floors leaves you better off so you don't have to worry about the thin walls carrying sound. You get your own private mailbox as well.
As for the management and maintenance. It's a mixed bag. Most of the time the maintenance has been good to me and prompt. But the apartment manager recently changed in the past 2 or so years and they are terrible. Rude, dismissive, slow to respond, poor communication skills. Amongst those conversations gave me vague or false statements about concerns of maintenance, rent, or other apartment issues several times.
And as for the rent, it is really expensive for a apartment that is nothing to write home about. Overall I would not recommend living here to anyone. The on site "features" and proximity to campus are not worth the price tag.
