Murray Hill PreWar Gem
I've lived here for a year and love it. The location is accessible to anywhere you need to go, and the doormen are absolutely amazing. The downside is it has constant traffic (honking) noise, and sirens for the hospital. I'll be moving due to that.

Nice little studio
I have been in my Murray Hill apartment for the about 13 years. it is not the best apartment and it is not the worst apartment. It is a good size and the location cannot be beat, a few blocks from uptown and down town bus stops, and Grand Central is about 5 blocks away. The area is pretty quite and bars are just down the block. It is a studio apartment in a 5 story walk up. A full size bathroom is fine but some TLC wouldn't kill it. The kitchen needs some love with it's micro -dorm style... appliances and sink that almost fits every pot and pan - if you count fitting vertically a win leads me to dream of a adult sized appliances. But it's home. There are two big windows that allows in all the light you need and gives you a glimpse of what is happening in and around the area. It's a good size straight square. If it were 10 feet wider and longer it would be even better. It's a good size for one and not sure how couples live in the sames spaces in the neighboring apartments. When you live in NYC you live vertically, so shelves any where you can put them are a must. So, the nice squareness of the places give you lots of room for shelves and storage. Big enough for a queen bed, a couch and a ton shelves it's New York living on the semi-impressive level.
