Convenient Studio for single/couple on budget
I have been living in this studio apartment for close to 3 years now and I think its a beautiful place for the budget, in a safe area. For a studio, it is quite big and comfortable. Having the forest hills hospital right across means lot of people on the street throughout the day. Very safe walk to the train station which is less than 5 minutes. 15 minute walk to Austin st. for lot of hangout and food options.
Couple of drawbacks though about the apartment. Its an old building, so summer season... means roaches come out. Keeping the place clean and using roach traps can barely reduce the problem. Another drawback is no dishwasher.
The super for the building is quite helpful should there be any alarming problems like a water leak, etc.
Neighbors are very friendly and keep to themselves. Some of them have kids which means weekend mornings can get a little noisy, though for a very short time.
Overall, I have enjoyed my stay here and its a great place for a single person or a couple on budget.
