Fairfield Knolls At Sayville

The apartment is great but trying to get maintenance to show up is a problem. I have called, gone to the office, called Melville and have driven around the complex to flag someone down. No call backs, no nothing. The maintenance workers are always busy so I think they are understaffed. I am very unhappy about this. #11

Washing machine leaks. Reported leak over two weeks ago (reported daily) and no response. Property manager does not address lack of parking.

Onsite office does a great job.

Sayville Commons is such a wonderful place to live. My apartment is quite spacious, conveniently located right off Sunrise Hwy with easy access to shopping, medical and religious facilities. My one bedroom apartment is appropriately priced, has a washer and dryer, laundry room, and spacious rooms. But even that is not the best part. The complex has a wonderful recreation Hall where I and my neighbors meet for movies, exercise, game night parties and general socializing. The result is the… tenants become friends, more like family. Everyone watches out for each other in times of need. It's also possible to maintain privacy, but most people join in and soon become part of the family. The snow in the winter is quickly removed and sidewalks de-iced for our convenience and safety. We have a wonderful entertainment coordinator who arranges day trips, evening events and lectures which keep us constantly entertained. It's the lifestyle here that's most appealing, and the lovely apartment is the icing on the cake. My family do not live nearby, however, I always feel safe, secure, and am never lonely. We have an emergency cord in the bedroom and bathroom for immediate assistance as well. Although living on a limited income as an elderly person, we are very well taken care of here. Even the building maintenance staff is always available to assist our every need. In the "golden" years of our lives, we decided to make a lifestyle change. After owning our own home in Brooklyn, we wanted to find a place where we could concentrate on the finer things in life and not the responsibilities that come with taking care of a house.
