The Alcove of Turpin Hills

DO NOT BE FOOLED with the pictures on their site. They own the Alcove of Turpin Hills. the complex is a dump that they slapped gray paint on the walls and put some granite countertops to make it appear luxury. Since moving in 4 months ago there has been nothing but problems in the unit. Starting with the nasty refrigerator that was not cleaned before turning over the apartment. it was filthy under an apart that could not be removed to be cleaned. 3 weeks into living there I had mice in my… apartment, Candy the leasing manager stated to me "I didn't know they could get up to the 3rd floor." They attempted to blame the mice issue on the people who had been doing some underground work at the complex. I spoke with my next-door neighbor who stated this was untrue because he had mice in his apartment in the past which at the time there was no underground digging. I had to pay for an outside exterminator who discover 11different whole and entry points for mice to get in, there was mice/rat droppings in behind the stove which had been there before I moved in. The apartment complex controls the heat and on 3 different occasion I have awakened in puddles of sweat because the furnace was stuck at a temp of 86 degrees although it is freezing outside. Week two after moving in my refrigerator stopped working and all my food spoiled. All I have been met with is Bella the lady in the leasing office as well, looking at me like a deer in headlight when I went to the office for answers and solutions. I asked to be let out of my lease after the mice incident and was told I would have to pay 3 months rent before being considered. I hadn't been there a month yet.
