Worst rental experience of my life
Should say 0 stars but it is not an option. We were charged for “late” December rent that we had proof of already being paid right after Greyshore took over in January and claimed that they didn’t have any records from before they took over- so why was I charged if they had no record of it being “late”? Our door lock malfunctioned during the snow emergency and would not lock/unlock from the outside. not having a locking door is a code violation.
In March, on a Friday at 6pm, Jake delivered a... notice to vacate, claiming that we had not paid February rent. We immediately sent the confirmation notice we had received when we paid Februarys rent on their portal and proof that we had paid, and did not receive anything back until the following Tuesday. When they finally responded they didn’t offer an apology.
For a week the fire alarms went off multiple times per day for 10+ minutes when a fire/smoke were not present. Fire department said the system was not working correctly- we never received any notice of this from the property management office- another basic safety issue that they failed to resolve. So don’t rent here if you want to be safe from fires I guess, you’ll never know if the alarm is going off in error or for real.
Our address (one of the townhouses) was listed as a business address with USPS. Since we have moved we have tried to change our address with USPS and can’t because the property owner needs to reclassify it as a residence. Greyshore refuses to respond to my messages to resolve this at all.
Your packages will get stolen. Your car and you are not safe in the parking garage- armed robberies occur and security is barely present. When they are present they sit in one parking spot in the garage and do not actually patrol. Dog poop everywhere.
The property manger, Jake is terrible. Vindictive and rude and unapologetic. Do not rent from them, they will mishandle your rent money and not use it towards upkeep or maintenance. And if you even dare to ask you just might be on the receiving end of Jake’s spiteful behavior and negligence.
