We scheduled tour with them and we showed up and they said “sorry, we aren’t even doing tours because we have no availability”. Well it would be great if they could update their website with that information, if they would’ve called us to cancel the scheduled tour, and maybe just maybe even come out of the office to speak with us.

Unprofessional With Mold Issues
When I first moved in everything was fine. A few months later there was a severe leak in the apartment next to mine. The apartment was vacant, so it was a few weeks before I noticed something was wrong. I told the leasing office that there was water coming from under the door and they said, “the above unit washing machine was leaking.” This was a lie. A professional came out later that day to fix a water line break, not a leaking washing machine. I ran into him outside because the fire alarm... went off while he was there fixing it. (PS: the fire alarm goes off every 1-2 weeks.) He let me know that the apartment was so covered in mold they would have to gut it and all surrounding apartments because of how bad and dangerous the mold was. The door was open when I was talking to him so I could see inside the mold covering the entire floor, and growing all the way up the walls. A week later I found mold in my bathroom, it was now growing through the walls of the other apartment into mine. This is when I decided I needed to move only 3 months into the lease. Which brings me to my next point, the ladies in the office were rude about me having to move since they “took care of the mold” when in reality they never hired a professional remediation company. They sent a maintenance worker into my apartment and had him spray bleach on my wall. I moved and sent an email about how I had a few packages that would be delivered to the apartment still. I had changed my address but since it was a sudden move there were some still in transit. They said they would hold them for me. I went to pick them up and one was missing. A week later I go to pick up the last package that was being sent there and it was also missing so I asked if they had cameras because I thought someone had taken it. This was the 3rd package to go missing FYI. This is when the property manager started raising her voice at me “they weren’t stolen. Stop having them sent here”I told her it wasn’t my choice to move out early and that it wasn’t ideal for them to be sent here so I’m not sure why she was yelling at me. She continued to yell “you are no longer a resident here, you no longer pay rent here so I do not care. You keep coming in here charging me about stolen packages, I do not care about you, you are not a resident anymore.”I left, and I let them know I would be posting this review

Don’t move here.
Nice looking apartments with comfy dimensions in a great area, but with many downsides. Poor construction overall, no security (gates all broken or left open), terrible maintenance (requests usually take at least week to get addressed), very thin walls. Office staff very friendly but ineffective in running this place appropriately.

Great Apartment . . . Just some things you should know
Liberty Place is a fantastic new(ish) rental property in the Brewery District just south of downtown Columbus. It's within walking distance of many eateries, pubs, bars and shows. The neighborhood has a lot of the charm of nearby German Village, but with much better parking options! The apartment is also on the border of the 100 acre Scioto Audobon Metropark, which is a nice break from the city, if you are so inclined. The pros include the neighborhood, parking, attractions and distance to work... (the Cbus offers free transportation into Columbus and through the Short North). There aren't any major cons, but there are some things you should know before renting. First off, no utilities are included in the rent, which is lower for the Columbus area, but could be more than you expected if you believed utilities were part of the total. All utilities are grouped together into one bill that includes the electric, water, trash/sewage and a community fee, which basically covers the maintenance of community areas. There is no recycling program, and the trash is only picked up once a week, and has been known to overflow. Also, the maintenance of the stairwells isn't always up to par, so expect a few bugs and some cobwebs. On the bright side, it is easy to get in touch with the leasing office (during business hours) and they are always helpful to get issues resolved via email, phone or in person. Another couple things to keep in mind. One, if you rent a unit on the west side of the building you will frequently hear traffic from the local trains. Two, if you rent an older unit (2006), you won't have a screen on your porch/sunroom doors. Finally, parking for the unit is in a gated area, and is first come first serve. There is one surface lot and two multi-level garages, so keep in mind that each of those lots will fill up differently depending on the time of year (e.g. winter, snow/etc). Additionally, parking is only open to residents, who are given tags for their vehicle(s). Anyone parking in the lots without a tag runs the risk of being towed (which is enforced!) so those without tags will need to find nearby public parking, though the costs of those lots can vary. Happy home hunting!

Liberty Place
The apartments are very nice - 10ft ceilings with wide crown molding, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen and baths. If we have any issues, the maintenance staff is quick to respond. The only issue that I have is that residents with dogs don't do a very good job cleaning up after themselves. The hallways need to be cleaned more often.
