Green acres apartments are priced very well and the quality of the place is amazing. Everything is updated to a modern-day style and painted as well. You don’t really find anywhere with everything included, even wifi and cable. The maintenance guys, especially Bob, are very kind and get what needs done as soon as possible. He has helped me a few times since moving in. You can text them at any point and they get back to you quickly. The landlord, Matt, made the move in process really quick and… easy. Green Acres is AWFUL. I wish so badly I had enough room to fully write why this place is so bad.
first to start off, they have an AWFUL bug problem, our apartment was infested with spiders and other bugs about 3 months into our lease, and after harassing them to do something about it, they finally came and sprayed once.
2, our apartment had an AWFUL mold problem that we did not know about until 6 months into our lease. i was pregnant at the time and started getting super sick, and one day the… wall behind our sink caved in and there was a TON of mold inside the wall, and up in our cupboards, etc. we found the mold in the fall time about a month before I was giving birth to my son, and whenever it would rain, the wall would sink in more and the mold would just intensify. we emailed and called them about this issue probably 50 times, and after weeks of being sick and getting no response, I finally left a poor review on their Facebook page with then resulted in them reaching out to me and telling me there's nothing they can do because the mold issue has to do with the roof and in order for them to fix it, they will have to fix the roof first and with winter coming up they weren't sure when that would be. we then told them they can either move us to a new unit, or we will be taking them to court for unsafe living conditions and refusal to fix it. they then moved us to a new unit, and as we were cleaning the carpets getting out stuff moved in, it had been raining that day and my husband looked up to see the ceiling in that unit was caving in and had mold as well. I then emailed them and told them they can either let us out of our lease or we will again or we will not be paying rent.
they then decided to finally let us out of our lease, and 3 days postpartum after I had my baby, I had to pack our apartment and move to a new home, which was NOT fun to do with a newborn. not to mention 2 of our cats actually got so sick from the mold that they had to be put down 2 days before I had my son. this place is HORRIBLE and the management is no better. do NOT RENT FROM HERE. it might be cheap, but its cheap for a reason!!!! there is no way possible they have re done all of the roofing in 6 months, we live close by and have never seen them even work on it. they problem solve by re patching the dry wall to cover it up, and 6 months into your lease is when everything begins breaking and going wrong.
