Great manager, decent neighbors
The manager, Shawn, is a great guy who works hard to maintain a pleasant environment. The screening process was pretty rigorous, but nice rentals are hard to come by right now. I almost accepted a place 30 minutes away, but I’m glad I went with Wilmington Court, for the short drive to work and the clean, safe environment here. Cons: the units are a little dated (textured ceilings, brown carpet) and most of the better places have wood or tile flooring now. Easier to keep clean and sanitary.
No... extra storage spaces and no linen closets inside the units. Kitchen cabinet space is limited. No washer/dryer hookups.
Pros: lots of natural light! Lovely, large balconies!
Lighting-fast internet! A clean laundry facility onsite, with newer machines. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Quiet neighbors. Concrete steps leading to 2nd and 3rd floor units, which are very quiet, unlike the metal stairs. Large master suites! Good sized bathrooms. Cathedral ceilings in 3rd floor units.
This place is a good value for the money, and I think it’s the nicest apartment complex in Wilmington. I feel safe living alone here. Pet -friendly but there are standards: current shots, fresh pet health exams, spayed/neutered, etc.
Renters insurance required for pet owners.
Income requirements are reasonable but non-negotiable. Very responsive management and maintenance staff.
If this experience continues, I may stay her a few years. It feels like home!
