Sunwood Apartments

i moved in 3/2020 since then here’s a list of problems that have yet to be fixed.
weather stripping on front door & window: my window leaks water next to the outlet in the master bedroom when it rains. there’s a strong draft from the front door. we’re expected to reach single digit temps tomorrow, but the apartment complex couldn’t care less about my toddler and i being in a warm apartment. when it rains the landing at the bottom of the stairs fills with water.
garbage disposal & dishwasher: it… took two weeks of our sink and dishwasher backing up with sewer smelling water and calling almost everyday before anything was done.
back sliding glass door: the foundation settled weird and there was at least a 1 inch gap beneath the door, i ended up having to seal it myself because they never did.
fridge: our fridge started leaking water inside, everything was soaked and the water started freezing. our only option of repair was to load up all of our groceries and move them to a unit on the other side of the complex so they could unplug our fridge for 24 hours. no assistance in moving things was offered, and that’s not a task i could do with a two year old by myself.
stairway: the rail on our stairs has been detached from the support piece for months. it provides no actual support since the whole thing is loose.
as of today, 2/14/21i noticed a crack in an exterior living room wall, again, we’re expecting single digit temps tomorrow. i’ve called the office four times, left two voicemails, and sent a text trying to get advice or someone to come fix it and can’t get through to anyone. plenty of residents have outdoor stairs and nothing has been treated with rock salt, or sand with the exception of what i’ve put out myself. this place is an absolute joke, as long as theyre getting their rent payments that’s all they care about. it’s well hidden, and quiet if you can ignore the constant police sirens at night, maintenance is okay if there’s any kind of water leak/drip since they pay for that. i wouldn’t recommend anyone live here if you’ve got any other option. i more than likely won’t get my security deposit back because of the review but it’s worth it to warn others. Quiet
No loud music,no yelling ,no cops ect
Not alot of units so not too many ppl
Cons
Barely lit parking lot so realley creepy at night cause alley with homeless nearby
Rough parking lot some spots real bad
Overnoard with orange tow stickers
Only one parking space each

Its tucked away behind shopping center and a lot of ppl dont even know its back there its quiet and no cops been called that i have seen the 5 years i been here but scary as hell at… night in parking lot cause parking is on side so nobody can watch u safely get in ur car from the door. Read More
