Candlewood Apartments

We put in an application for this apartment then later told the on-site manager to not run the application because we had found a place somewhere else. 6 months down the road we find out they turned us into a debt collection agency for not paying an application fee... There was never any financial information given to them, as we were just putting in an application and had asked them to not run the credit, as we had found another apartment. We were told by debt collection that what we signed... said that they could charge us regardless of a credit check being run but we never were provided any proof we signed this, and I have never encountered anyone doing this practice before. It was sneaky and, in my opinion, a way to make money on people that didn't end up fully going through the application process. Never doing business with them, or recommending them to anyone. Maintenance really slow, if ever anything fixed. no Disposal, bad nats and ants. no storage, washers small,only 3. No onsite managers, Bad Black mold. lots of wasps in spring/summer.
