Hogan Woods

Before last fall I would have recommended Hogan Woods. But after the property management changed (I believe it was to Norris and Stevens) it got pretty bad. The property management will find any reason to not give back your deposits so be warned. And if you attempt to challenge them, forget it. They will find any and every excuse to charge you for something and at high costs. So 2 thumbs down for Hogan Woods now. I recommend going somewhere else.

I've lived at Hogan Woods for a number of years now and have no regrets. The complex has been remodeled and has always been well maintained, particularly the grounds. I have always found the maintenance people to be very responsive and the new managers are available and quite helpful with information and following through with work orders. Recently, I had an issue with a malfunctioning doorknob. I reported it first thing in the morning and explained that I wanted to be there, but had to leave by... 11am. It was fixed that morning well before I had to leave. The grounds are very clean, there is never any trash strewn about, and the grass, trees, and shrubs are maintained and trimmed weekly.
In terms of the area, the complex is close to just about all the major stores, eating places, and other businesses, as well as public transportation. There is also a park next door to which the complex has its own private entrance with a locked gate.
In addition, being in Gresham, the complex is close to such attractions as the Columbia Scenic Highway, Vista House, the Columbia River, and Mount Hood. I can almost fall out of bed and be at some of my favorite places from here. Read More
