Avoid this property
There are many issues with this complex. It is managed by Affinity Property Management although they do not acknowledge that the property is one of theirs. It is supposedly owned by Human Solutions but that information is sketchy at best. The property typically has trash here and there but you can also find things like used hypodermic needles. The playground is limited and is intended for small children. The security of the property is a joke as most of the video survailience equipment does not... work, except for the cameras located around the community center and leasing office. Parking is hit or miss, depending on what part of the property you live at.
Then there are the issues with the current management team. The back patios, which are a necessary fire escape route for 3 bedroom 3 story units, have been blocked off and unusable for over 2 years now. For the first 9 months, tenants were not even notified as to why the patios were blocked. Total lack of communication on managements part.
Then, management attempted to convince the affected tenants that the Fire Marshall, in connection with a building code violation (for the back patio issues), required management to do weekly fire alarm checks and "Escape Route" sign checks to ensure that they were in their proper places in the affected units. They notified tenants via a 24-hour notice of intent to enter form which listed all the dates that management and on-site maintenance would be entering affected units to do these checks. Nice, right?
Then, there is the acts of retaliation and intimidation by management towards those tenants who had made contacts concerning the issues with the property. Actions such as trying to physically intimidate a child with a broken ankle who was sitting on the last stairs leading to their unit. There have also been issues with management proceeding against regular procedure towards filing legal action against tenants while being told not to do so by Affinity Property Management upper management staff and Human Solutions upper management.
Unless you are using a program such as Bridges to Housing, or are coming from a homeless shelter into the community, I would avoid this property and look elsewhere. The neighborhood is terrible, with assaults, vehicle breakins, regular drug use and sales, and the homeless community camps. There are better places to live.

Arbor Glen Apartments
I live at Arbor Glen Apts with my son and his family in a 2 bedroom. Their 11 year old daughter has to have her room in the dining room because it's a 2 bedroom. We came to Arbor Glen after being homeless and was delighted to have a home however now we have been here almost a year and am very disappointed in this place. Arbor Glen apartments is affiliated with Human Solutions which is an organization that helps low income families. However I cant seem to get any help. We pay full rent and... everytime I try to get someone to tell me who I need to talk to in order to get in a program they say I don't know. And on top of this the management and maintenance lacks severely here. We live in a back building down a dark sidewalk and didn't have a porch light for 2 months with having put in 2 requests. The ground are scattered with garbage and I can't even count how many non running or abandoned cars with flat tires are parked in parking spaces close to the buildings to where when I come home Kate from work I have to park far from my building and walk. All of these issues plus more that I didn't list have been brought to managements attention several times without solution. I really wish I could move my family to a better place so I don't have to worry if my car will be stolen by a Meth head roaming around at 3 am.
