Greedy owners, bad management, awful apartments
Whoever designed these buildings should never be allowed to design another structure again. Kitchen is outdated and ugly. Ceiling is a full 10" lower than the other ceilings making for a claustrophobic affect. Barely enough room for one person to cook. Stove is pushed up against a 'breakfast bar' where 6" of the back of the stove (with the metal plate exposed) is visible from the dining room and living room. Refrigerator is small and has wire racks instead of glass shelves (didn't even know they... still made these!). The owners are too cheap and greedy to have decent appliances installed.
Two and three bedroom units have only one full bath that is shared by everyone living in the apartment. There is no master bath. The shared bathroom is small and doesn't have a walk-in shower. Master bedroom has no windows but instead had a sliding glass door with a screen leading out to a balcony. In order to have airflow in warmer months, it's necessary to open the sliding glass door and have only the screen exposed. This poses a security risk since anyone can easily scale the six foot walls that separate each apartment's balcony and gain access to apartments. A few units have fireplaces, most do not. No washer/dryer in units. Two on-site laundry rooms that are small, dirty, and still coin operated. No central AC. Weird electric heating system that comes out of the ceilings, ineffective and costly. Simply put - you will not get what you pay for. The rent prices here are ridiculous!
Much better to go further west into Beaverton or Hillsboro where you get more for your money.
