current resident of Hilldale Gardens

Having rented my entire life, Hilldale Gardens is the finest place I've ever
lived. I've never called a rented place "home." Here, I do. Why?

1) The owner and management staff is committed to a quality apartment
community. The property is upgraded, things are maintained, operations are
efficient. There is pride here. It makes a difference. 2) Nature is
embracing and interwoven. You descend into a lovingly landscaped property,
surrounded by trees, which provides seclusion, solitude, and a sense...
of
security. 61 solidly-built apartment-home units are spread over 4-1/2 acres,
set down, off the street. Green space is ample. Living space is ample.
Hilldale Gardens is thoughtfully designed. 3) My apartment is cozy, bright,
comfortable, quiet, economical. Everything works in a "harmony of home:" the
cost-saving water faucets, the ergonomically-designed light switches, the
electronically-controlled heat pump, the double-insulated glass, the
health-enhancing bathroom dehumidifier, the fullsize custom-cabinetry
kitchen, and many other built-ins. It's a cheerful, uplifting place to live.
You feel like taking care of where you live because where you live takes
care of you. 4) It's a transportation nexus. Convenient to downtown, the
interstate, local highways, OHSU, the Jewish Community Center, Gabriel Park.
Hillsdale and Multnomah are easily walkable. Five bus lines are minutes
away. You can get here many ways. 5) It feels right. Feelings may be
intangible, but they're real. I'm paying a reasonable rent for an
exceptional place to live. There is something reassuring and calming about
that, as a home should be.
