The Good and not so good
I lived here for nearly four years and moved out almost a year ago. Here's the skinny:
PROS: Free and plentiful parking (it's attached to a CVS). Victor is the BEST "Super" aka property manager EVER. Lily is a super-sweet queen who lives in the building and takes wonderful care. The apartments are VERY spacious and get lots of natural light. Location is great. Building only has two floors with a very spacious elevator. Washer/Dryer in each unit. Snow removal is great. The penthouse apartment is... absolutely STUNNING! Maintenance and leasing staff are responsive. Yearly rent increase was about $50 for me.
CONS: One window in the entire apartment opens to the outside and it's located by the flow only opening outward. Limited air flow and it sucks because the windows are floor to ceiling and gorgeous. Also, if the apartment is on the City Ave side, the street noise is diabolical. Paper thin walls. You will hear everything next door, even in the bathroom. I don't recommend the apartments next to the CVS because they're attached to the storage room and you'll hear their deliveries LOUDLY. No amenities (i.e. a gym, business office). Paying rent by check and mailing it is wild. No online payment system and no tenant portal because this is the only residential property Goodman manages. Also, the only way to maintenance communicates is through email - wish they at least used text.
