The View at High Pointe

I lived in this apartment building for 3 years. The only pro about this apartment is it has fairly new appliances and the parking/location is convenient & quiet. This complex however lacks a sense of community. The ceilings/walls are extremely thin, the common areas and hallways were often neglected, dog waste was frequently left uncleaned, dead animals were not removed from the property, and the grass/landscaping was poorly maintained.

I would not recommend this property due to the extremely... unprofessional and rude management staff. Communication was consistently dismissive and unhelpful, and concerns were often brushed off rather than addressed. Upon move out, I had followed the guidelines of cleaning (even hired a carpet service), but I believe I was unfairly docked of over half my security deposit. For example, I used laundry pods throughout the entirety of my tenure (never liquid detergent) but was charged $80 for a dirty liquid detergent cup.

Management should set the tone for a community, but instead they made living here unnecessarily stressful. Respectful, courteous customer service should be a basic standard, yet it was completely lacking here. Located in a nice area of Hummelstown and the apartments are very modern and look nice inside, the gym is well equipped. Downside… the halls look horrible. Trash bins line the halls, full of trash bags all over, it smells horrible in some areas. The mail location is a mess with all items thrown on shelves with no organization. It would be a nice location if they actually took care of the appearance of the property.
