    Rip off artists

    I placed a deposit of $600 for a one bedroom and completed an application. 2 days later (well within the stated time frame for a full refund) and was told they would send me a check in the mail (even tho I paid with a debit card) but it never arrived. 2 weeks went by and I called again and was told they had made an "error" and would put the check in the mail. 10 days later still no check. When I called again I was rudely told by Kelly in bookkeeping that they didn't handle this and I would… have to call the NY office of Fairstead. When I called and told them about my issue I was told that nobody was there is talk to me. I have now had to call my bank to reverse the charge.
