How Is This Rating Determined?

You get what you pay for.

1. You get what you pay for. Don't expect a fully upgraded luxury apt if your rent is under 1k a month near the downtown area. Some ppl just like to complain about unrealistic expectations.

2. I was there for 2 years and there were 3 new landlords/building managers in that time frame

3. It's an old building so be prepared for mice! They say they've handled it but between ppl dumping their trash right outside the gate and old building structure you're bound to see more than one during your...
lease. The maintenance folks will put traps down but it doesn't really help plus they take FOREVER to bring you any. There will be RATS running rapid outside the building every night be aware (again because of dumped trash)

4. Maintenance team is HORRIBLE! At one point my outlets didn't work expect in the bathroom and by the entry door so I couldn't use any major appliances or my router and they took a MONTH to fix it. They don't address any major issues quick enough unless you attach photos/vid. And even then it's a long shot. Personally I think they just wait for the tenant to end their lease to do any real updating. My fridge was leaking pretty much my entire time living there.

5. They finally put security cameras up because the rise in loitering from strangers somehow entering the building.

6. Communication with the building manager is terrible. The latest one never answered emails or acted like you didn't send requested information over and over again.

7. Laundry facility is fine but there's only 2 sets of WD and it's coin laundry with no machine down there to break bills. So basically have a $3 worth of quarters on you at all times or just go to a laundromat.

8. Besides a lot of bad parts of this building overall for it's location and size it's a decent starter apt. Like I said, don't expect luxury for the price. But location and price is what gave this 2 stars

The antoinette

I haven't even moved in yet and it's by far the best apartment experience I have had. I've been searching around for quite a while, and it's located in a decent neighborhood for the area. It's only about a block or two away from campus, and campus security patrols only one block prior, so it's still pretty secure. Templetown realty takes care of heat and water, so it's a pretty good bargain, and rent is pretty low. From what I hear construction to the building next door once damaged it , causing... prior remnants to move out, but despite that most of them renewed their lease for when the building is up and running again. This sounds like a true testament to the building's quality, and tenants' overall experiences.
