Diamond Pointe

These apartments are relatively new for Williamsport, PA but are overpriced with greedy owners. Every year when your lease is up fro renewal, the monthly rent increases along with the the water/sewer bill which if paid directly to the owners. The apartments are supposedly smoking free but a tenant below me smoked in his apartment and the smoke came into my apartment through the bathroom vent. I have asthma and really caused me to have breathing problems. I complained numerous times to the owners… and they said nothing could be done even though it states clearly in the lease NO SMOKING? Weird...that nothing could be done because they did not want to lose the monthly income. This tenant finally left on his own free will (was not evicted like he should have been) but the owners never told the next tenant that this apartment had been smoked in - still a smoke free environment!! Total lies. Also the apartments are supposedly pet free but multiple tenants have dogs, cats, and other small animals that they remove when apartment inspections occur. Again tenants with allergies are never told this information. The walkways are shoveled in the winter but usually not until the afternoon once every one has already left for the day...just a little too late. Also do not bee surprised when you leave this apartment complex that you will not get any of your security deposit back. They charge $450 for cleaning for everyone as well as for nail holes. When I moved in, I specifically asked if I could hang things on the wall. I was told that small picture nails were fine but never that I would then be charged over a $1 per nail hole after I moved out! I paid over $46,000 over the 3 years that I rented an apartment and when it came time to leave a month early I could not break my lease without having to still pay the extra month rent. But weird the tenant as I already mentioned above was not evicted for breaking the lease by smoking in his apartment. Again greedy owners that only care about lining their pockets. There is free WiFi but I would not get too excited about this because there is only one router for two buildings containing 48 apartments so the speed is so slow you cannot stream anything. I would just be carefully when considering to rent from Diamond Pointe. This experience left a really bitter taste in my mouth. These apartments are no longer recommended to hospital staff. Read More
