Apartments at Waterford

I lived here for 2 years. All I can say is the price for a 1 bedroom apartment is not even worth the rent. No dishwasher, washer or a dryer. They filed a lawsuit against me before I even was able to move out. They’re pushing so hard to give rent. Plus when I gave them my keys, pool passes they I get my security deposit taking off $30 because they said they never got their pool passes when I physically went into the leasing office and gave them the pool passes directly. Plus the maintenance... doesn’t bother fixing your apartment issues. It’s not worth the rent, not worth giving them the money. They act very friendly over the phone but they’re a very shady, and sketchy place of business. Don’t bother renting here. THESE PEOPLE WILL NICKLE AND DIME YOU FOR EVERYTHING HAVE. So many hidden fees, the property management company is sleezy and dishonest.
They tried charging me $267 for not giving them a 60 days notice that I was moving out when my lease expires. The minute they call me to explain the situation, I immediately filed all the necessary "paperwork" and they still charged me $267

I was required to pay $400 JUST to apply for an apartment, which is inappropriate business practice. Most places in York only require a $40 application fee. I was informed that if I decided not to take the apartment that I would receive the $400 back via check. After I told them I didn't want the apartment, they went back on their word and said I will not be getting the $400 back. When I tried to discuss it with them they were unfriendly and discourteous. I felt like just a money-maker for them.... They did not even give me a proper tour; they just handed me a piece of paper with the address on it to see it by myself. Renters beware. Read More

A lot of complaints from neighbors because they heard my children playing in their own home, or they heard us walking… had visitors over who smoked and I guess didn’t dispose the cigarettes right and next day we got asked to leave and not to renew the lease!

We lived at Waterford for a year and had no complaints. The management and staff were very professional. The grounds and amenities are kept spotless. When we looked at the unit we were going to rent it smelled badly from the dogs which the previous tenants owned. We told the leasing agent my wife had bad allergies and we were very concerned. She told us they would deep clean the carpets and if any smell remained they would replace the carpet. When we moved in the carpets had been replaced....
