Nice Building—Elevator Shaft Noise Can Be an Issue

Lived here for about a month. Overall, it's a nice place, but be aware if your unit is near the elevator shaft (typically in the middle of the building). The elevator noise is quite loud—I hear it almost constantly throughout the day as it moves up and down. I brought it up to maintenance, but no solution has been provided. I've heard that the units farther from the shaft (lateral units) are much quieter, so your experience may vary depending on location. If you're sensitive to noise, I'd... recommend asking about unit placement before signing.
