Not Luxury Living
Building in poor condition. Windows are permanently bolted close resulting in no fresh air. Did not meet my expectations for livable conditions. Over-priced for value offered.

This building is full of roaches, the elevator breaks all the time (luckily I'm on the 3rd floor), the A/C was out for half of last summer and my floor constantly smells like weed. The apartment itself has terrible water pressure, cooking in the "kitchen" is a miserable experience, and the whole place just doesn't make sense. Don't spend your money here. Downtown living in a historic building is NOT what it's cracked up to be.

I live in the Barringer building. It is a historic building which means it can have problems from time to time, but the maintenance staff is always on it! I put in a work order for my sink and Eddie came and fixed it right away. Fast and friendly service is always a plus.
The leasing office staff is also very helpful. They are sometimes short staffed, but they try their best and it shows! Every concern I have brought up they have been sure to follow up on and help to the best of their ability.

I used to live in the Barringer building. It got laundry machines on the even floors. Unfortunately, quite a fraction of them did not function. That means people in the entire building only had 2 or 3 sets of working machines. What's worse, the staff barely cleaned these machines on a regular basis. That was awfully gross. My underwears were attached with dog hair every time I used these machines for watching.

The maintenance services are genius-record inefficient. Our refrigerator stopped working two months ago. We couldn't use it to store food and drinks. It took them three weeks to get it fixed even with my roommates and I calling them every day. We had to eat outside and our expenses went through the roof. Coincidently, I also heard my neighbors complaining that they couldn't take a shower for two weeks precisely because of the super inefficient maintenance team. Imagine living in such a terrible... place. Just be desperate EVERY DAY!
