I think there are issues with this apartments that need to be addressed. They are minor issues that have lingered because when the units were upgraded they were never addressed. When I bring these issues to the attention of management they are explained away as if I’m just complaining. How can I recommend anyone to these apartments when these issues are not addressed? Instead of parties: replace old exhaust fans, oil bolt latches so people don’t have to slam their doors, replace windows that… won’t open, provide bulk trash pickup instead of daily, etc., etc. These are things that keep a community functioning and make it easy to recommend to others. No one moves into a community because you throw parties from time to time. Apartments are going up all over downtown. Eventually Vista Commons may not be the apartment of choice if you refuse to address the small things that make living here worth it.

First, I want to acknowledge that resident events and community gatherings are not a substitute for maintaining and… improving the property. While we enjoy creating opportunities for residents to connect, we recognize that the day-to-day living experience is what matters most.
The issues you've mentioned, such as aging exhaust fans, door latches that require excessive force, windows that do not operate properly, and concerns regarding bulk trash disposal, are all quality-of-life matters that directly affect residents. I understand why it would be discouraging to feel that these concerns have not received the attention they deserve or that they have been perceived as complaints rather than constructive feedback.
As a management team, we value resident input because it helps us identify opportunities for improvement. Some property upgrades and capital improvements require planning, budgeting, and prioritization, but that does not diminish the importance of the concerns you've raised. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared with the ownership and maintenance teams for review as we evaluate future property improvements. As we previously discussed, we will continue to work with our residents to always improve your experience at Vista Commons.
