For guests towing a boat in DeBordieu Colony, a temporary boat decal and seasonal fees apply. Golf carts must be battery/electric powered and operators must be at least 16 years of age with a valid driver's license. Motorcycles, mopeds, ATVs, go-carts, and motorized scooters are prohibited in most gated amenity communities. Motor vehicles are not allowed on the beaches. Guests may send and receive faxes, have photocopies made, and access wireless internet free of charge. Items left in the home can be mailed back for a fee of $15.00 plus postage. In the event of a mandatory evacuation due to natural disasters, guests must vacate the premises immediately. Unless Travel Insurance has been purchased, there will be no reimbursement for a mandatory evacuation. Many properties have elevators which should only be used on check-in and check-out days for unloading and loading, or for the use of the elderly or disabled. Under no circumstances should unsupervised children be allowed in an elevator. A release must be signed before access to the elevator will be issued.
