I would strongly caution anyone considering moving into this apartment complex. I would not recommend living here.
When I signed my lease, I was told a washer and dryer would be installed and the carpet replaced before move-in. Neither happened. On move-in day, I walked into an apartment with a ceiling fan hanging out, damaged blinds, burned-out lightbulbs, holes in window screens, and ceiling water damage. Since then, I’ve dealt with a persistent flea infestation lasting over two months. Despite professional treatments, personal efforts, constant cleaning, and laundry, the issue continues. Management has... offered no support and denies others are affected, despite me speaking with neighbors who are also dealing with fleas.
After submitting a complaint and asking to be released from my lease without a termination fee, I got a letter saying “seeing a flea doesn’t mean infestation.” I called a senior manager to explain the months long issue. She insisted it was normal, citing her vet, and claimed nothing could prove infestation. I offered for my vet to speak with her, he could confirm my dog (on flea meds for 5 years) has never had this issue, and that continued fleas after such efforts aren’t normal. She dismissed it, said I was the only one affected, and called the idea of sharing affected neighbor names “childish.”
She then insulted my ability to care for my dog, suggesting I wasn’t doing enough. I reminded her of the extensive efforts I’d made, but she only got more hostile. Later, they tried to backtrack on my termination letter by adding new fees, a month after outlining final costs in writing. Lastly, during recent construction, tenants got less than 24 hrs notice. I was told it was safe for my dog to walk on the new sidewalk, but he came back with tar in his paws that had to be cut out. This place is a nightmare.
