Nice starter apartment
Pros: Clean and pretty property, maintenance was generally swift and pleasant to deal with, my particular apartment never had a rent hike. Relatively safe and mid-range-affordable. Close to hospital, restaurants, and markets.
Cons: Marijuana issues, noisy neighbors (can hear everything because not well insulated), centipede and spider issues in my basement-level apartment, needs to be upgraded for market value in this area (appliances very old and beaten up and no knobs or handles on cabinets).... My HVAC had extreme issues in the winter, and I was informed that most of the units are close to 20 years old.
Oh, that said, I lived there two years and I had no problems that I could not cope with and I felt relatively safe. I have a friend that lives there on the third level and another building and she enjoys her stay. It may depend on the apartment that you get, so I would recommend touring in person and seeing the same unit several times if possible during different times of the day and week.

We completely agree—touring in person and viewing the unit at different times is a great tip for any prospective resident. Thank you again for your insights and for being part of our community for two years. We wish you all the best in your new home!
