Do not rent here. The office staff does not care about you, and nothing ever gets fixed in a reasonable timeframe. I lived on a 4th floor apartment and my elevator was operational for 4 out of the 13 months I lived here. That is inexcusable and I incurred increased moving costs TWICE due to the failure of the management team to maintain the elevator. They also denied my request for any reimbursement for my moving costs. Real class act.

Dismissive, robotic, rude, and lying office staff that poorly manage an entire property.

I specifically chose a 4th-floor apartment because the building has an elevator. I was told when I originally toured and applied that the elevator had already been broken for over a month. I have now lived here for 13 months, and the elevator has only been operational for approximately 4 of those months.

Now, in July 2026, it’s broken again.

The current outage started July 2nd. On July... 15th, I was told the replacement part had already been delivered and they simply needed to schedule the repair. Yet here we are, with the elevator still not functioning.

I’m moving out August 1st, and because the elevator is unavailable, my moving expenses have become highly elevated because the movers have to carry everything up and down three flights of stairs repeatedly. What should have been a straightforward move has instead added hours to the moving process.

Management has also been unwilling to reimburse me for the difference in moving expenses caused by their failure to maintain the elevator. I never asked them to pay for my entire move. I simply asked them to cover the additional cost I am being forced to incur because their elevator isn’t working. Alternatively, I told them to simply fix the elevator and there would be no additional expense to address. Both requests were denied.

Do not live here. Based on my experience, nobody in that office seems to care about residents, and I have lost all confidence in being able to trust what I’m told by management.

13 months here. Approximately 4 months of a functioning elevator. That tells you everything you need to know.

Before you rent here, ask yourself if you have ever lived somewhere where everything went perfectly and you never had any issues. The reality is that problems happen anywhere you live. What matters is how the property staff and higher-ups handle those problems.

Slate Nexton may look nice on the outside, but you will have issues here just like you would anywhere else. The difference is how those issues are handled, and in my experience, Slate Nexton has catastrophically failed in that regard and continuously let down its residents.

Beautiful property in a great location! Walking distance to fine dining.

This place is a joke. Looks nice from the outside, management is horrible. It’s dirty, nothing that you are paying for ever works. Even now, the pool is of course, locked up.

My apartment is full of spiders, ants, roaches. When you apply here they don't mention certain charges you have to pay and it's also not in your lease that you signed. When you get your first bill you will be surprised about things like you owe a nonrefundable 250.00 room key fee. Management admits to getting your emails when you ask them if you can catch them but will not return emails or calls. If something breaks you will not get it fixed in a timely manner or even at all unless you... repeatedly contact them. Very rude not to return customers phone calls or email. Lots of serious things broken in the room. Door hinges on the door leading to the outside on the wrong side of the door so any criminal can easily get in our room with a screw driver.
