Gateway Apartments

I could probably write a novel about my stay at this apartment building (I only lived about 8 months with them, they took over), I will keep it as short as I can to meet the requirements for this post
-main manager says he is in Arizona A LOT when you try to make an appointment to meet with him. When you talk to him on the phone to let him know his group is mistreating you, he responds with, "I am sorry you feel that way."
-Unprofessional, disrespectful, condescending and belittling
-fridge… went out, they not only laughed at my situation, I had to literally argue with one of their workers to get a working fridge before the weekend came.
-Stove went out shortly after the fridge, maintenance, once again, made light of my situation and gave me a thermometer to ensure the oven was preheating properly, repairman said oven was broke and so old, he couldn't fix it.
-heat went out in the winter, called/texted the "emergency" number and no one answered. gas company said the landlord needs to fix it.
- 3 times of no hot water with no notice within a month or so. I had to take a couple cold showers after work and couldn't do dishes
-Water was sputtering like it was turned off, but no notice was given to residents
-Management told me they wouldn't care if I moved out the next day (a few months into their property takeover), management still made it difficult for me to move out.
-They don't answer e-mails very fast Each e-mail takes about 3 business days almost guaranteed texts can be faster most times. management doesn't seem to give out phone numbers unless you ask for them
-They e-mail and text before/after business hours and on weekends (but not for emergencies).
-I did get deposit back, I just needed to be belittled, disrespected and deal with unprofessional landlords
-I will not rent from this company again if I can help it.
-charging the next resident of my old apartment $25 less than what they were charging me. I signed a lease with the prior management, but this management told me I was stuck in the lease I signed, while they charged the newcomers about $25 less, for now.
-Got back pet/security deposit about a month later, never received a first check, Management sent an e-mail saying I never cashed the first check and took it upon themselves to send a second check without my consent, I never received the first check as of yet
I like the apartment, it is a nice location and such, but it is not worth having to deal with management in my opinion. Read More
