The Zilker/Barton Hills neighborhood is one of Austin's favorites, with huge trees, quiet streets and access to Barton Springs, Zilker Park, boating on Lady Bird Lake and the hike and bike trail. This property is 2 miles to downtown and close to restaurants and shopping on South Lamar, South Congress and South 1st streets. There is a bus stop about 2/3 mile away on Barton Springs Rd if you want access to public transport. There are lots of bike and scooter rentals all around. The hike and bike trails are also a fabulous way to get around Austin via bike or on foot. There are multiple rideshare companies (Earth Rides, Lyft and Uber) if you don't want to rent a car.
