Altair Tech Ridge Resident Review

I lived at Altair Tech Ridge for a while and overall, it was a solid experience. The apartments are modern and well-designed, with great finishes and layouts. The amenities are a big plus — the pool is resort-style, the gym is well-equipped, and the pet spa and beer garden add a fun touch.

The location worked great for me since I worked nearby (close to Samsung and Dell), and there’s easy access to shopping, dining, and major roads. If convenience is important to you, this area delivers.

Rent… is definitely on the higher end compared to some nearby apartments like Silver Springs or Oxford at Tech Ridge, but you’re paying for the upgraded look and amenities. If that matters to you, it feels worth it.

As for safety, the apartment complex itself felt generally secure, but there was a serious incident at the Waffle House next door in 2024. It seemed isolated, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re new to the area.

Management was decent — some team members were great and responsive, while others seemed to come and go. There were a few communication hiccups during staff changes, but overall, maintenance was timely and the grounds stayed clean.

If you're looking for something modern, with high-end touches and a convenient location, Altair is definitely worth touring. Just weigh the price point and check out a few neighboring apartments to make sure it’s the right fit.

Worst time living here

Poor management and the apartment have only one maintenance dude. The dude is so rude. Many hidden fees and charges. Small parking lots. A very thin wall apartment. No privacy and it takes months to fix damage gate. You also have to pay for wear and tear in the apartment. Sad experience!

Horrible place! The worst!

I moved here in Oct 2019 when management was fantastic until Roscoe Properties took over shortly after. Place has gone downhill with people playing loud music and being loud past midnight everyday! The gate door is always left open, my packages go missing a lot and the walls are paper thin. I can hear my neighbors music and their conversations. Management handles everything poorly. I cannot wait to leave! Please do yourself a favor and do not move to this horrible complex.

Yes, move here!

I love Alta Tech Ridge! Everyone who works on the property is very friendly and easy-going. My spacious apartment (A2) was clean when I arrived in May! No other apartment complex in the Austin area can beat ATR's amenities--bike repair shop, dog spa dog park (if only I had a dog), pool with awesome cabanas and chairs, grills, a cute lil beer garden with picnic tables and fountain, gym, and a conference room. ATR is very close to I-35 and the grocery restaurants Walgreens/CVS. The grounds… are kept up multiple times a week. Also, I feel very safe living here. I had a small maintenance request and someone was out to my unit within 1 hour. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you, ATR.

Love it!

I haven't lived here long but I LOVE Alta and I've been recommending it to everyone I know who is looking to move! The staff has always been so kind and helpful. The maintenance team is always on top of things and the grounds always look great! The amenities are a huge bonus living here and it's fairly close to all the stores and shopping centers you'd need. It's been fairly quiet since the move in date. So happy with our apartment choice!
