Terrible Property Management
I rented at The Parker at Hyde Park for two years, and unfortunately, my experience was consistently disappointing from start to finish.
Throughout my time there, I dealt with ongoing issues including pests (roaches and bugs), persistent unpleasant odors that never fully resolved, invasion of privacy and ineffective maintenance responses. The condition of the units felt outdated, and several issues, such as inconsistent AC performance shutting off especially in summer, were recurring concerns.... Overall, the environment was not comfortable or conducive for long-term living.
Management was also a major challenge, always looking for a way to take advantage of you. Communication was often unresponsive, and it was difficult to get timely support when issues arose. This added unnecessary stress, especially when dealing with already frustrating living conditions. Terrible guest experiences and reviews.
After moving out, I was charged for security deposit deductions related to wall damage and cleaning that do not accurately reflect the condition in which the unit was left. This was particularly concerning, as I ensured the unit was cleaned prior to move-out. In my experience renting multiple properties, this is the first time I’ve encountered this type of situation.
Additionally, the overall value does not match the cost. The property is overpriced for its condition, and the surrounding environment and upkeep did not meet expectations.
This is my honest experience to help others make an informed decision. I would strongly encourage prospective renters to thoroughly evaluate the property before signing a lease.
