worst place to live
I lived at this complex for three years. During my first two years in a one-bedroom apartment, I had very few issues and was generally satisfied. Unfortunately, after upgrading to a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, my experience deteriorated significantly.
From the day I moved in, there were obvious problems with the apartment. The cabinet paint was still wet, causing my dishes to stick to the surfaces. The stand-up shower was severely cracked, as though it had been damaged before move-in.... Although management eventually replaced it, the installation was done improperly, leaving an excessive amount of caulking around the drain due to poor measurements.
I was assured by the property manager, Dave, that the air ducts were cleaned between tenants. This proved to be inaccurate. Even after a duct cleaning was performed, there was still little to no airflow in the master bedroom, making it uncomfortable to sleep there. To make matters worse, I was not informed that I would need to leave the apartment during the cleaning process and ended up sitting in my car with my two dogs for five hours. The airflow issue was never resolved.
There were metal rods protruding from the ground that took approximately nine months to be removed despite repeated reports. Exposed wires throughout the property were another ongoing issue. I reported them multiple times, yet management's solution was simply to cut them back rather than properly address the problem. After every rainstorm, more wires would become exposed again. It took roughly nine months before the issue was finally corrected.
The dog park is frequently littered with dog waste, making it unpleasant and unsanitary to use. Additionally, there is an area behind Building 2420 where I regularly walk my dogs. When the ground is wet, the area near the fence becomes extremely slippery and hazardous. I have slipped multiple times and am concerned that the erosion from the nearby creek continues to worsen, creating a serious safety risk.
Perhaps the most frustrating experience involved my mail. An assistant manager, Lizette, apparently informed the mail carrier that I no longer lived at the property because my mailbox contained junk mail. As a result, an important package from my uncle containing a personal art project intended for my grandmother was marked as undeliverable and lost. This was incredibly upsetting, and I never received an apology or any accountability from management.
