Signed a year lease, and for six months we have had three pipes burst. Flooded our apartment and mold/mildew develop in the walls. Recovery is extremely slow as the property is short staffed. The owner has no investors, so nothing is updated and minimal care is kept to the complex. Staff is inexperienced and cannot make better judgement decisions to issues. this is seriously the worst apartments. One day they turn off the water because of a leak and the office didn't tell anyone the waters off. I called the office and they all kept saying "they didn't know when it would be back on" I'm a stay at home mom with a 7 month old and I couldn't clean her bottles or take a shower I had to leave my home to drive all the way to little elm to my parents house just to shower and feed my child. The next week it was off again from 9am- 5pm for 3 days. Again I… had to leave my home to go to little elm. Now today there's another major leak. And the hot water is off. We moved into an "updated" apartment, the only update are the appliances. The countertops are just painted over, the cabinets are painted plywood. The pantry door doesn't open all the way as the refrigerator is blocking it. I have asked numerous times for hot water in our kitchen sink and to no avail there is no hot water. If the rent was not so high I could learn to live here but at $1040 for a two bedroom this place is not worth the money. The hidden fees in our allocated water/gas is also a… joke. The only real problem with this apartment complex is the fact that it is not gated. That being said it is still a very safe area. The common areas are well maintained and the staff is always willing to assist you with any problems or questions. Also paying rent online is a wonderful feature as I don't have to spend extra for money orders. Work orders are completed in a timely fashion with little to no residual problems afterwards.
