Skytop Apartments

We have lived here in the apartments for over three years. It has been one of the best experiences for our family. Our neighbors are friendly and look out for each other. Everyone is super friendly and the pool and amenities are very nice. The office staff is very courteous and they do a lot of fun activities for residents and kids. We have enjoyed living at Sky Top and would highly recommend living here.

My whole time living there the front office was so inconsiderate. Was very unprofessional the whole time I was there. Wanted to blame everything on the kids in the complex and didn’t care what happened in your apartment. I would advise not to move there.

The apartments appear to be great...updated, roomy, etc. However, this is a rent controlled property with little to no security. The gate is always broken and when it is working cars will block the gates until you let them in. There is a police officer on property but that is little consolation when tires are slashed, cars are broken into, and the property itself are vandalized because it isn't patrolled.

The office staff is horrible. They change every four to six months. There is no… consistency and often times they have no idea what they are doing. They are rude and disrespectful. They don't return phone calls. They lose packages for days and or don't notify tenants of packages. They no longer take payments because they couldn't effectively process/handle them without losing them.

I had a roach problem for 8 months from a previous tenant that I ended up paying for and dealing wirh because the exterminator did nothing. He told me he was only allowed to put out bait that wasn't really effective for the issue that I had.

They tell you to report complaints and don't do a thing to address them. There is trash left all over breezeways and balconies. Bikes and grills and carseats left in walkways. Security lights are out and have been out for months.

There is s group of young men that circulste the property banging on doors and yelling and screaming. Again this is not addressed.

After staying several years, I will be moving spending more money for peace of mind and sanity. I understand there will be issues anywhere but this place has gone downhill fast starting with management.

Also, the rent increases yearly and no improvements are made??? This year it would have been almost $50. For what??? Less service???

Let me first say that while living there it looked all fine and wonderful from the outside. Great prices, allowed animals, and it was gated. I had come to learn that there were foundation cracks all through the apartment I was in, and when asked about to maintence and management they said no changes needed to be made. I also had several complaints filed against the apartment I was in, but no formal letter was ever given. When confronted and asked about it the management staff responded that they… could not give that information away. (There was no information I was simply asking for a formal written complaint) I’d love to say this would be a good fit for anyone but sadly it is not. Read More
