Terrible Management
I spent 7 years at Gables Park 17.
The SHORT list of issues I saw:
*Only 4 working elevators for a total of about 9 months on my 7 years there, otherwise 1-2 functional elevators is commonplace
*Large rate increases with extra fees and no negation
*Multiple fires due to negligence in generator repair, literally unlivable for an entire month
*Non-functioning pool for several months out of the summer
*Lots of pot/cigarette smoking residents, management somehow can't/won't do anything even when... catching them with it in their hand
*Not the advertised 8" cement floors as advertised, bass travels incredibly well through the building and you WILL hear your neighbors
*Erroneous charges on move out; even when I provided proof that the "damages" were fabricated for contractor profit
*Habitual drug users sit in front of the building, building security did nothing
The positives:
*Location is ideal if you want to live near the city
*Concierge team is largely great
The long list of negatives obviously outweighs the positives, so I'm out.
Don't be fooled by a lot of these 5 star reviews for "residents" that do not exist. This building had potential that was squandered by terrible management and it would be a mistake to live there.
