The Newport

My 1 Star goes to the residents here at Newport - they are great people! The property and management itself gets 0 stars!!!

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I moved into the old leasing office that was converted into a 1 bedroom on 7/16/2020. About 2.5 weeks later, problems started happening back to back.

Maintenace is absolutely horrible. One of many issues I had in the unit, he put TAPE on my leaking sink!!!

Extremely long story short, I was let out of my lease 10/24/2020 due to lack of fixing my... apartment repairs and MOLD!!!!!!!!

Things to know IF you decide to move into the converted office:

The apartment floods very badly when it rains.
The garbage disposal doesn’t work.
The dishwasher doesn’t work...waste is inside of the dishwasher.
The apartment will smell like sewage 2-3 times out of the week.
There is mold in the AC closet, bedroom, linen closet and the dining area.
Management is very rude and doesn’t know how to talk to people. He seems very nice at first, but the moment you have an issue, he’s rude to you. Several tenants can say the same thing.

If I could give it a 0 rating I would. Rodents, mold, plumbing issues. Landlord is rude, and maintenance of the property is terrible. Please avoid this apartment.

Best deal by far for the price! The community is flawless and the grounds are green and clean! I have been here for a year and have not encountered one major problem or issue. We had one minor issue but was resolved immediately by Kelly. She is here for you, I promise you that. You will always deal with her directly and she will not avoid you! I had that problem at a previous apartment community and it's nice to actually deal with her directly when needed. Like I said I have been here for over a... year, the tenants are all very friendly. Newport is definitely per friendly as well. I give this place 5 stars out of 5!!
